**To convert a FAT partition to NTFS, perform the following steps**

1) Open 'Command Prompt'. 

2) At the command prompt, type the following- 

CONVERT [driveletter]: /FS:NTFS. 

'Convert.exe' will attempt to convert the partition to NTFS.
